This
is the one upgrade to any standard motorized bicycle you need.
**Neophyte's Note-
Normally the rear wheel driven sprocket is attached
with 2 hard rubber thick gaskets and 9 bolts extending between the
wheel spokes,
thus gripping the spokes on either side. This may lead to broken
spokes.
Also, the driven sprocket alignment, up & down and side-to-side
wobble is
impossible to totally eliminate, thus the drive chain has unwanted
movement,
vibration and noise. Sprocket stabilization is also a factor, since it
is not
"fixed" to the rear wheel.
The Direct-Drive hub with factory sprocket alignment and positive
attachment
is the "best first" upgrade most experienced riders will want, the
hands-down winner!
In
addition, eliminating the stock rear wheel coaster brakes, which are
sometimes prone to heating up too much (metal-to-metal actuation) and
blowing-out the hub/wheel bearings!
The total solution is this Direct-drive Hub with freewheel and a
reliable
rim-brake where no extra heat is present in the hub at all.
